A Shiras bull moose sniffs the air just as the sun rises over the mountains on a bitterly cold winter's day in Grand Teton National Park. During winter, it's not uncommon to find many moose grouped together out in the sage brush of Antelope Flats. With their rutting season at an end, they can begin to shed their antlers as they need to conserve as much energy as possible for the long brutal months of winter. http://500px.com/photo/62248527
