The Bonner Bridge link the Bodie Island to Pea Island on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It has suffered hurricanes and tidal forces that have virtually eroded the sand beneath the bridge leaving parts of it literally dangling. It may well succumb to the forces of nature and the neglect of Man....but for now....it is a vital link and worth the crossing.
