Painful Beauty by JRMcWilliams

I have encountered these beautiful flowers on a dirt bike long ago. At the time the pain of the experience exceeded the beauty that they provide...but now, alas, I have grown old...and the beauty is indeed the finest in the desert. http://bit.ly/1hR4Tqn

Green stringbeans? No another kind of cactus (I love cacti) by kawol

I have learned the difference between a cactus and a caucus. On a cactus the pricks Re on the outside." (Morris K. Udall, american Congressman, 1922-1998) http://bit.ly/1g1MnF9

Careful Where You Tread by RachelRobinson

This is just one of the hundreds of cactus species featured in Cesar Manrique's wonderful cactus art-garden in Guatiza, Lanzarote. I love contemplating and photographing cactus for their wonderful geometric shapes, textures and contrasts, which make them particularly good for abstract work. Here I tried to make a single plant feel like an infinite field of cactus 'underfoot' Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy my work. Feedback appreciated! http://bit.ly/1kwy5Rb
