New details about the movie were revealed in the new trailer Monday night.
The new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer dropped Monday night.
This one features tons of new footage, answering a few burning questions about the state of the Star Wars universe at the start of film.
This time around, the trailer focuses on each of the new main characters one by one, giving us a chance to get to know them better.
It starts with Daisy Ridley's Rey in her scavenger gear, sorting through wreckage for scrap. Interestingly, this is similar to how we first see Leia in Return of the Jedi, with her face obscured by her bounty hunter disguise.
"Who are you?" a voice asks. "No one," Rey responds.

Next we see Finn, once again removing his Stormtrooper helmet.
"I was raised to do one thing," he says, as we watch a TIE fighter (presumably his) crash-land onto a desert planet. "But I've got nothing to fight for." This seems to confirm that Finn was fighting for the new Empire, but saw something that made him desert.

Next up is Kylo Ren, who speaks for the first time in these trailers.
Lens flares abound (thanks, J.J. Abrams) as he stands on the deck of what looks to be the new Star Destroyer, looking very Vader-esque. "I will finish what you started," he says, right as we get a look at Vader's destroyed mask. What part of Vader's plan is Kylo Ren attempting to fulfill?
